As I write this I’m currently in the middle of sharing 28 reasons to listen to The Instructor Podcast. Those reasons are coming surprisingly easily. It’s a great podcast, with excellent content and tremendous guests. But are podcasts a resource that we’re using enough as an industry?

Whenever a sportsperson wins a personal award, they almost always talk about how they would swap it for their ultimate goal, whether that be a gold medal, Premier league success or whatever the pinnacle of their chosen field is.

When the sc was changed a few years back it came at exactly the wrong time for me, my mother was deep into Alzheimer’s and caring for with my family was - let’s say challenging - I was slipping into a kind of depression. Anxiety had got the best of me and although I wouldn’t say I have anxiety issues everyone who knows me says I worry too much - and they are right.

During my recent podcast with Emma Morgan (Check it out here!) she said something that really resonated. “Being a coachee is hard work.” It didn’t click straight away, but it kept creeping back into my brain. Being a coachee is hard work.
